そういえばルワンダ関連でこんなニュースがあった。ジェノサイドがほとんど終わった頃に行われたフランスの人道支援作戦「ターコイズ作戦」のさいに、フランス軍兵士が虐殺に関与していた可能性があるということだ。フランス軍が公式に調査をはじめたという。２人の原告の発言のうち、フランス軍兵士が殺戮に実際に参加したとする部分*1はにわかに信じがたいが、フツ民兵の求めに応じツチ難民を追い出した*2とか、殺戮を見て見ぬ振りをした*3とかは確かにありそうな話だ。
